KATATONIA Frontman Guests On New PANTHEON I Album
July 13, 2009KATATONIA vocalist Jonas Renkse has contributed guest vocals to a track on "Worlds I Create", the third full-length album from Norwegian extreme metallers PANTHEON I. "Jonas and I have been friends for some years now," explained PANTHEON I guitarist and frontman Kvebek. "We both like the extreme and the melodic, and often talk about our musical visions, so I asked him if he would like to do some guest vocals on the new album, and he agreed straight away. The track we chose was 'Ascending', and his voice is perfect on it, awesome, in fact. It adds a new soaring dimension to the whole sound."
An e-card for "Worlds I Create" is available at this location. The CD will be released later this month via Candlelight Records.
PANTHEON I released a new single, "Serpent Christ", on June 29. The track, taken from "Worlds I Create", is available on Candlelight Records as a digital download only. In addition to the title cut, the single features the first-ever PANTHEON I song to have been written. "Enter The Pantheon" has so far only been available on the band's first demo and has been completely re-recorded for inclusion on the single.
PANTHEON I's track "I'll Come Back As Fire" is featured in the soundtrack of the latest Chad Ferrin horror flick "Someone's Knocking At The Door", which made its U.S. debut last month. The band is also currently working on a video of "Serpent Christ", which is in the final stages of production.
The five-piece, whose lineup includes members of TYRANN, SARKOM, TROLLFEST, THE ALLSEEING I and DEN SAAKALDTE, as well as former and current members of 1349, recently released a series of promo pics with cellist Live Julianne in the role of a dominatrix.
